Thank You for your support
The Yuba City Police Canine Officer's Association is now a fully recognized non-profit public benefit organization. The goal of the Association is to establish a working relationship with our community to develop a strong, experienced and eliable canine unit to help protect the citizens of this community. Police Canine units are used in many capacities to assist law enforcement efforts. Their duties include apprehension of dangerous suspects, detection of narcotics, article location, tracking, and as a general deterrent to crime. Canine units are also a positive community outreach tool, with many local schools requesting a visit from the dog and handler. Theses interactions with the young members of our community go a long way in forming a positive, long term relationship with law enforcement.
In order for a K-9 team to be proficient, many hours of training are required to ensure both dog and handler are well trained, in tune with each other and ready to deploy at a moments notice. The budget for this essential police unit is limited. In an effort to maintain the current unit as well as plan for growth, the Association is seeking financial support of our local community.
Your support of the dedicated men, women and dogs who work to uphold the laws of our community and protect our neighborhoods is greatly appreciated. We sincerely hope you will consider partnering with us in this vital mission.
